Michael Wisner Named Senior Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer For Stanford Hotels Corporation

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Stanford Hotels Corp., a San Francisco based company specializing in the management of full-service hotels, has announced the promotion of Michael Wisner to senior vice president and chief financial officer. In his new position, Wisner will oversee company financial responsibilities including debt, cash and tax management. In addition, he will control both audit functions and acquisition analysis, while providing primary oversight of financial reporting, general accounting practices and company information systems.

Wisner succeeds James Evans, who is retiring after more than seven years with Stanford Hotels in this role.

“We will miss Jim’s leadership, experience and dedicated support to the staff at Stanford Hotels,“ said Senior Vice President of Operations Clyde Guinn. “With his extensive background in financial accounting and proven commitment to Stanford Hotels and its team, we are certain that Mike will successfully fulfill his new role within the company.”Wisner was previously vice president and corporate controller, a title he held since 2000. He was responsible for budgeting, account management, and financial controls and analysis for the corporation with market capitalization exceeding $400 million. Wisner has more than 20 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to working for Stanford Hotels, he was the corporate controller and chief financial officer for GUS Enterprises, a privately held real estate division of Gund Investment Corporation.

After graduating from the University of South Dakota with a business administration degree, Wisner was an Audit Manager with the international firm Pannell Kerr Forster until 1987.

Stanford Hotels Corp operates 17 full-service properties across the nation. Management objectives aim to maximize market value for each property through long-term commitment, and to produce outstanding hotel environments that lead to exceptional over-all guest satisfaction.

The corporation recently completed a $45 million reconstruction of the San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter hotel that hosts the new, chic eatery Soleil @k, offering foods rich in sun-drenched flavors, and the sophisticated rooftop bar Altitude, to debut in April 2005.
